Briana Dannecker
OTR/L, MS

Briana Dannecker is a licensed, board certified occupational therapist who graduated with her master's degree from AdventHealth University in 2017. She completed two internships at SPOT Therapy prior to graduation, and officially joined the SPOT family in February of 2018. Briana has been trained in The AEIOU Systematic Approach to Pediatric Feeding, as well as reflex integration, and innate rhythmic movements. She loves working with the pediatric population and considers it a great privilege and responsibility to be your child's occupational therapist! Briana and her husband recently welcomed their first child into the world, a baby boy named Jack. They enjoy spending time at the pool, beach, and hiking the Blue Ridge Parkway with their two rescue pups, Nola and Creedence. ​

Stephanie Perez

Stephanie Perez is a licensed, board certified occupational therapist. She was born in New Jersey and moved to Florida in 1996. Stephanie graduated with her Associates of Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant in 2013 from Keiser University. As a Keiser alumni, she continued her education through the university and received a Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2017.  Stephanie began working at SPOT Therapy Associates after graduation and absolutely loves working in pediatrics. In her free time, she volunteers at Special Equestrians. She completed AHA, Inc. Level 1 treatment principles course. Stephanie is a Handwriting Without Tears (HWT) Certified handwriting specialist, a Vital Links therapist for Therapeutic Listening: Listening with the Whole Body and trained in the CAN-EAT Approach.  She has also received additional training in sensory integration and reflex integration.  She has dedicated herself to pursuing further education to better her patient care including taking a course centered around affirming neurodiversity with strength and ability based interventions. Using medical, motor, & therapy strategies in pediatric feeding. Stephanie has experience providing services in the clinical and educational setting. She finds great value in working together with the children and their families.

Jennifer Washburn
OTR/L, MS

Jennifer Washburn is the owner of Hale Therapy Service, Inc. doing business as SPOT Therapy Associates. She graduated in 1996 from the University of Indianapolis with a Master's of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. Jennifer has worked in various settings servicing both adults and pediatrics. She was an independent contractor for the School District of Lee County for 16 years before going into private practice. Her areas of interest are pediatrics, feeding, brain and spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, sensory processing disorders, and pet assisted therapy. Jennifer is trained in Therapeutic Listening, Interactive Metronome, SOS Approach to Feeding, AEIOU Systemic Approach to Pediatric Feeding, CAN-EAT approach to feeding, and Astronaut Training. Jennifer is also certified to administer the ADOS.  She has one daughter, Victoria, who is currently attending FSU. Jennifer volunteers at the Gulf Coast Humane Society and often fosters dogs that may have medical needs. She has 10 dogs of her own: Hardy, Leo, Mimi, Oscar, Daisy Sue, Ollie, Lilith, Holland, Harley and Mallie who make frequent visits to SPOT Therapy Associates, something the patients and families at SPOT love!

Kersten Damosh
OTR/L, MS

Originally from Sarasota, FL. I earned my Bachelor’s of Health Science with a minor in Disabilities in Society from the University of Florida. I later earned my Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy from Florida Gulf Coast University. 

I have always loved working with the pediatric population and I am so excited to be able to live my dream and follow my passion in working with such exceptional kiddos! The sky's the limit in peds and I enjoy how creative sessions can be to best support each child’s success in their goals. My goal is to make our session fun and productive so that they enjoy coming to therapy. 

When I’m not working, I love going to the beach and spending time with my family and my dog Sugar.

Angie Rue is a Licensed, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She is originally from Ohio, but has lived in Southwest Florida for more than 25 years. Angie has worked with special needs children in a variety of different settings for over 20 years. She has a passion for working with children with Sensory Processing Disorders. Angie has been trained in Therapeutic Listening, Advanced Therapeutic Listening, Handwriting Without Tears, The Therapressure Program and Oral Technique, Greenspan Floor Time, Brain Gym, Verbal Behavior ABA, Building Blocks to Sensory Integration, The SOS Approach to Feeding, Astronaut Training, and Neuro-Developmental Treatment. Angie has four children, one of which is on the Autism spectrum, and is understanding of the needs of both the children and the parents. She enjoys being part of the multidisciplinary approach that Spot Therapy Associates offers.  ​
Val is a licensed occupational therapy assistant and has been a part of the Spot Therapy family since 2014.  She came to Spot with a background in Psychology (B.A.) and is a licensed massage therapist.  Her love of children and animals is demonstrated in all aspects of her life.  She is the happy "mom" of 2 rescue kitties and a puppy.  She loves bringing out the creativity and hidden potential in children to help them achieve their goals.

Shelbi Muske
COTA/L

Shelbi attended Keiser University where she earned her degree as an occupational therapy assistant.  She joined the Spot Therapy team in 2020 after completing her fieldwork and falling in love with the clinic in 2019.  Shelbi takes a sensory integration approach to treatment and is passionate about helping her clients excel in all areas of daily life.  She loves spending time with her family and two dogs.  She also loves exploring new places to eat.

Samanda Bouzon

My name is Samanda Bouzon, I am a bilingual pediatric COTA who graduated from Keiser University in 2022. I joined Spot family after falling in love with the clinic, staff and kiddos during Fieldwork II rotations. I have a passion for help kids to be as independent as possible in everyday activity.  I was born and raised in a small town on the island of Cuba, I moved to the states seven years ago. Outside of my work, I enjoy spent time with my family and friends, movie nights, beach days and travel the world. ​

I am a bilingual Occupational Therapy Assistant that graduated from Keiser University in 2021 and I have being working in pediatric setting since then. I am very passionate about improving children quality of life by promoting independence. I am looking forward to continue my education to become a better therapist. 
I’m a sea lover and I enjoy spending time with my family and dogs.

Michelle Bloodworth

Michelle graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a Bachelor of Science in Community Health in 2015, and later from Keiser University with an Associates of Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant in 2022. During her time at Keiser, she had two fieldwork rotations at SPOT Therapy Associates. After graduation, she worked with adults in an outpatient orthopedic hand therapy clinic for one year, then began working at SPOT in December 2023 to pursue her passion for working in pediatrics. Before becoming a COTA, Michelle volunteered and worked with children who have intellectual and developmental disabilities for many years in various settings. She is passionate about helping children learn and grow no matter what limitations they may face. In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts, going camping, being on the water, and spending time with family and friends. She has two cats named Boots and Charlie. ​

Cassidy Strubbe

Cassidy graduated from Keiser University with an Associates of Science in Occupational Therapy.  She discovered SPOT while working as a receptionist and decided to pursue a career in OT because of the amazing kids and therapists she met while working there.  She plans on getting more training in feeding, reflex integration, and sensory integration.  She also plans of pursuing a Master's degree in OT.  She is trained in the AEIOU approach to feeding therapy.
