Speech TherapySpeech therapy involves assessing and treating communication problems and speech disorders. Some of the skills speech therapists work on with clients are comprehension, clarity, voice, fluency and sound production.
Occupational TherapyOccupational therapy focuses on improving an individual's fine motor, sensory, or cognitive problems. These problems may impact independence in school, work, or social settings.
Feeding TherapyWe have both occupational and speech therapists skilled in assisting with feeding difficulties.
|
Physical TherapyPhysical therapy targets gross motor movement and functionality. Physical therapists conduct evaluations and develop plans to address conditions caused by disease, disorders, or injuries.
Animal TherapyWe love incorporating animals into therapy sessions. Our dogs have a way of bonding with our patients and bringing out their personalities. Some of our dogs are fully trained and some are still working on their certifications.
ADOS TestingWe have therapists certified in administering the ADOS test. Although this test does not diagnose Autism, it is a resource for your child's pediatrician to evaluate whether or not an ASD diagnosis is appropriate.

When my son, Bryce, first started services with SPOT Therapy, he was three and non-verbal. He struggled with sensory and self-regulation, low muscle tone, and limited communication skills. Within months of starting occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech, he flourished. Each therapist that we have worked with, has shown that they truly love what they do and can come up with strategies on a whim to accommodate my child’s needs. The therapists at SPOT have shown me different techniques to use and ways that I can help my son while at home. In educating me with field terminology and important strategies to use, they have helped to create a support system that has allowed my son to thrive. Bryce is now four and is quite the talkative and social butterfly! He has improved drastically in all areas of development and I believe that a lot of the growth he has made is because of these therapists and their ability to create an environment where my son feels safe and has the confidence to try new things!
