Meet our SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGISTS & SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGISTS ASSISTANTS

Shannon Peckham, M.A./M.S., CCC-SLP
Shannon is a licensed, certified Speech-Language Pathologist with over 20 years of experience. She has received two master's degrees; one in Early Intervention (Birth to 5) and the other in Speech-Language Pathology. Shannon also holds a teaching certification in the area of Speech-Language Impaired and an endorsement in the area of Pre-Kindergarten Disabilities. She has worked in schools, center site schools, hospital, non-profit agencies, rehabilitation centers, clinics, and private practices. While working with clients from toddlers to adults she has focused on helping them with speech sound disorders, language impairments, stuttering, voice disorders, feeding, functional communication, picture communication and sign language. Shannon has worked with children and adults who have had Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down's Syndrome, and a variety of genetic disorders. After over 20 years of being a Speech Pathologist, Shannon can honestly say she LOVES doing what she does every day! Her approach is to evaluate and treat the client as a "whole person". She enjoys the clinic setting at SPOT because of the opportunity to discuss ideas and treatments with the families, occupational therapists, and physical therapists. Everyone works as a team to best meet the needs of the clients served. When not at the clinic, Shannon enjoys distance running, and watching her two teenage boys play baseball and football.

Tricia Nicolette, M.S., CCC-SLP
Tricia is a licensed, board certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She graduated in 2011 from Nova Southeastern University with a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology. She has worked in various settings including: elementary, middle, and high school, skilled nursing facilities, and home health. She is also VitalStim certified. Tricia has been married to her husband, Marty, for four years. She enjoys kayaking, boating, mini-golfing, rollerblading, camping, and spending time with friends and family.

Sonya Spradley, M.S. CF-SLP
Sonya is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. She was born in North Carolina and raised in Japan and Arizona prior to her family settling in central New Jersey. After finishing her enlistment as an Army medic, Sonya went on to complete her Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology at Marymount Manhattan College in New York City. She obtained her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ. Sonya’s experience includes internships working with pediatric clients in schools and outpatient settings and adults in medical settings for acute care, rehabilitation, and outpatient therapy. In addition, Sonya currently provides therapy at a school for students aged 3 to 22 with multiple disabilities and complex communication needs. Sonya is currently completing her Clinical Fellowship Year in order to earn her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. She is joining the SPOT team to broaden her clinical experiences and to have the opportunity to work more closely with families and other professionals. Her professional interests include augmentative and alternative communication, treatment of neurological communication disorders, and brain injury. In her spare time, Sonya enjoys watching Jeopardy, reading, and sampling pizzas.

Alexandria Damm, M.S. CCC-SLP
Alex is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Florida. She is from a small town in Indiana about an hour from Chicago. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Purdue University. Alex’s experience and interests include the pediatric and geriatric populations including neurodegenerative diseases, stroke, and speech and language delays. Alex is currently working toward completion of her Clinical Fellowship Year in order to earn her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. She currently provides therapy in two elementary schools in Lee County for children between the ages of 3-12 years. She joined the SPOT team to help children that need additional speech-language therapy outside of the educational setting. She especially loves to collaborate and work closely with a team of other SLPs, OTs, PTs, and parents to meet the specific needs of each child. Outside of work, Alex enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exercising, trying new restaurants, and exploring local communities.

She graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and Spanish and completed a post-baccalaureate program at the University of South Florida, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Lily graduated with her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Florida State University and is currently working to complete her Clinical Fellowship. She developed an interest in the field of Speech-Language Pathology through her volunteer experiences at elementary schools and assisted living facilities and enjoys working with both the pediatric and geriatric populations. Outside of school and work, Lily enjoys traveling, volunteering, and spending time with her family.

Emily Powley, SLPA
Emily is a Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant. She was born and raised in Cape Coral, Florida. Emily graduated Summa Cum Laude from high school in 2011, received a Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from University of Central Florida in 2015, and is currently attending Nova Southeastern University to obtain her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Emily is also a member of National NSSLHA through ASHA (American Speech and Hearing Association). Prior to becoming an SLPA, Emily volunteered at Golisano Children's Rehabilitation Center for 12 months. She has a special passion for working with children and hopes to make a difference in their lives. Emily enjoys traveling, reading, singing, watching football games (go Patriots!), spending time with family, friends, her fiancé Kody and her two fur babies Holly (dog) and Petey (rabbit). She couldn't be happier to be a part of the SPOT Therapy team.
